A snippet from a conversation Brett and I had last night:
Amanda: "Babe, I swear, you are cupboard handicapped."
Brett: "What?"
Amanda: "Yeah. You never shut the cupboard doors after you get stuff out of them, AND you don't put anything back into the cupboards either. How much harder would it be to put stuff into the cupboards, which are usually already open, instead of just leaving it on the counter in front of the cupboard?"
Brett: "Well, maybe if you made it easier to get to things in the cupboards, I would be more likely to put them away when I was finished. Case in point-our first aid kit. You have it in the cupboard above the fridge, inside a punch bowl. You might as well call it an eighth aid kit, because by the time we can get it out of the cupboard, the neighbors, police and just about everyone else in a 20 mile radius will be here to handle the accident."
Amanda: "Well, why don't you build me some more cupboards so I have more room to put stuff?"
Brett: "Why? I'd just leave those ones open too..."
