Unluck 'O The Carters

I know St. Patrick's Day is typically a day associated with the "luck o' the Irish."

Well, we're not Irish.

And luck has just not been on our side lately.

So you get to hear about some of the unlucky things that have come our way.

Lucky you.

Unlucky #1

The nicer of our two hand-me-down couches ended up being too big to get downstairs.

Yes, we tried both entrances.

Twice.

So now we've got our lone little love seat as the only available sitting in the basement.

No biggie, really.

Until we decided to have people over.

Thanks for being willing to sit on kitchen chairs, stools and the floor, guys.

Unlucky #2

 While replacing air vent covers, Brett drilled into a water pipe.
It wasn't his fault.
The plumber said it wasn't in the right place,
fixed the pipe (and two other plumbing related issues),
then charged us $936.
Boo.

Unlucky #3

Our previous (and final) renters broke five kitchen tiles.

We only had four replacement tiles.

And no, they don't make that style of tile any more.

If you have any creative ideas of what we should do, (short of re-tiling the entire floor),

feel free to let us know.

 

They say bad things come in threes.

I'm hoping the same goes for unlucky stuff.
