January is typically my least favorite month. There's the post-holiday letdown from Thanksgiving and Christmas, the weather is STILL crappy and there just isn't much going on. So it's nice to have a little something to look forward to.
When asked what kind of cake she wanted, Macy immediately replied "princess!" I wasn't sure exactly how we were going to pull that one off until I found this darling princess crown cake off of the Family Fun website. (If Macy ever doubts my love for her, I will promptly find a picture of this cake as proof...it took FOREVER to make.)
This wasn't the quickest of project either... at least this one is reusable!
Mace loved opening all her presents. In fact, whenever anyone asked her what she wanted for her birthday, she would reply "presents!" What can we say? She's easy to please.
Judging by the look on her face, it doesn't look like she quite understands the whole singing Happy Birthday thing.
Happy 2nd Birthday Macy! Thank you for giving me a reason to love the first month of the year, my little January baby.

HEY...I made the same cake for Grace a few years ago, she loved it too. We must be related! It is so fun to do the birthday parties, what a happy day.
How fun! You're right about January. Its SO boring! The only thing I like about January is knowing my birthday is a month away! Happy Birthday Macy!! The cake is darling. I'm impressed Amanda!

I think I need to have you come help me with Kate's birthday party next month. She wants Princesses and Frogs (Not Disney princess and the Frog). If you have any great ideas send them my way. You are so creative. Macy is so cute!
