Easter In An Eggshell

Here are our Easter festivities in a nutshell...only an eggshell because it's Easter. I apologize for the lame title, but I've been doing nothing but eating Peeps and various other varieties of Easter candy since 7:00 this morning, so my brain is a little lacking in the creativity area.

Brett and I decided that we would try to dye eggs with Macy this year. I wasn't sure if she would be too young enjoy it, but she loved it!
We probably spent a good half an hour (which in toddler time is equal to at least three hours) coloring eggs. Macy's favorite part was licking the vinegar off her fingers after dropping the eggs into the dye.

And, believe it or not, all the dye came off in the tub!

On Thursday we got to visit with my Grandma Barb and Grandpa Vance. They were on their way home from Arizona (where they spend their winters) back to Idaho, and stopped to see us. Macy loved all the attention and we loved getting to see them again.
Yesterday we went up to Harrisville to celebrate with the Carters. We had dinner, then tried to have a little Easter egg hunt with Macy. She picked up two eggs then decided she had had enough. Brett's brother Chase and his wife Breann also surprised everyone with the news that they are expecting their first baby in December! We are so happy for them, and excited that Macy will have a cousin pretty close to her age.

This morning Macy woke up nice and early (as usual) to see what the Easter bunny had brought her. We filled some plastic eggs with raisins, so once she found those, she wasn't really interested in anything else she got.

Then, tonight we had an Easter dinner at our house with my family. My mom gave Sarah some Pop Rocks in her basket, which she in turn shared with Macy. I don't think Macy knew what to make of the crackling in her mouth, but since she doesn't get candy very often, she was all about it.

What a fun day. I can never get over how beautiful Macy is every time you post pictures. I hope my little girl is half as cute as she is.

What a good mom....raisins! I guess I should have started out with raisins in the early years...my kids are candy crazy! It is like Halloween around here with all the egg hunts and family dinners. We are having FHE about the resurrection tonight so maybe I will be forgiven! I am glad you guys had a good Easter.
