The weather wasn't that great, (in fact, we did get some snow on the second day) but Macy managed to convince various family members to take her down to a sandy little spot so she could make sand castles and throw rocks into the river.
Since the weather was so crappy, we all spent most of our time in here, playing fast track, participating in Grandpa Vance's pool tournament, and belting out classic rock tunes.
Celebrating the main event, Grandma's 70th birthday.
The cake may have been missing a few decorations...
Throughout the weekend Coleman and Macy got lots...
and lots...
and lots of attention.
We found out that Coleman is allergic to cantaloupe and spent half of Saturday in the ER. Believe it or not, he actually looks a lot better in this picture than he did when we first took him in. Poor little guy was a total trooper.
Weird Brady Bunch-esque group shot of the grandkids and great grandkids.
Love these girls!
Grandma: "Macy, do you know the YMCA song?"
Macy: "It's M-A-C-Y, Grandma Barb!"
Late nights make for awesome pictures.
See what I mean? (I'm very aware that these are probably some of those "you had to be there" kind of pictures...sorry to those who weren't there!)
I promise, I really am posing in this one.
The "hot pool" (hot tub) was a little too hot for the kiddos, so we let them play in the big jetted tub that was in our bedroom. (Thanks again fam for giving us the biggest room!)
Even with all the picture taking that occurred over the weekend, none of us managed to get a group shot...guess we'll just have to do it again!
