For Halloween we decided to dress Macy up like Max from the book "Where the Wild Things Are." Apparently the book isn't as well known as I thought it was...nobody knew who she was. The conversations with people who saw her in her costume went something like this:
Them: Oh cute! What is she? A horse? (or donkey, bunny, etc.)
Me: You know the book "Where the Wild Things Are"?
Them: Um...not really
Me: Oh, well...it's this book about a boy who has these wolf pajammas...blah blah blah...
I guess that's what I get for not dressing up my little girl like a fairy or princess or something else ultra girly. I still think she was pretty cute. Thanks to my talented mom for again making something I dreamed up a reality. I'll learn how to sew someday, I promise!
Brett and I got invited to a costume party on Halloween night. We had originally planned to dress up as the actual Wild Things from the same book that we got Macy's costume idea from, but had to change our plans when we found out Macy/Max wasn't invited. We ended up channeling our inner SNL characters and went as Mary Katherine Galligher and Matt Foley.

I LOVE it. Hysterical costumes. Your mom is so talented! And I agree...Macy looked adorable.
What a cute idea for a costume! She looks like she enjoyed it.
I know that book! I think it was a great idea. I loved you and your hubby's costumes.
How cute! WE know that book-- Mikey always wants to get that one from the library! So he knew who she was! So cute! Also, how close do you live to Ogden? or are you closer to provo? We'll be in the area the 2nd week of dec, and I was so hoping we could get together for lunch! Let me know!
Your costumes are hilarious! Adam and I have seen the best of Chris Farley a million times, we love the lunch lady. And only those who are TRULY special know the book "Where the Wild Things Are" - Macy was SOOO cute.
Hey so guys are way too creative! I can't stand it...but really I secretly love it! :)
I think it was a great idea- way to be orginal. She is such a little cutie!
Oh my gosh... you're making the perfect Mary Katherine Gallager pose!! I'm such a Superstar fan. What a fun idea! You all look great! Macy looks adorable.
I know how you feel with the Where the Wild Things Are costume. I dressed as Rosie the Riveter this year (google it if you don't remember who that is)-- it was kind of a nerd costume. Half the people were like, "I LOVE your costume!" and the other half were like, "Are you a farmer, or what?"
