I signed us up almost a year ago when I was extremely pregnant and therefore delusional. When my friend called and asked if we wanted to run with her team, it seemed like the perfect way for me to get back into shape post-baby. I mean, why go for a 5k when you can be part of a 192 mile relay, right?
Let's get this straight. I'm not a distance runner. I held my own in junior high track as a sprinter, but ask me to run anything longer than about a half a mile and I've got nothing. And I'm not one of those people who claims to not be a runner then goes out and runs 3 miles the first day. In fact, I started out

You did so great, Amanda! Seriously, I know you weren't looking forward to the actual running part of the race but you were fantastic. I'm not one to pressure others to continue running when they don't really love it, so I won't give you any of that, but I will say I'm glad you were on our team and I think you did a great job.
Way to go Amanda. Even pregnant I never get crazy enough to think I can run in any kind of race. I'm sure you were amazing! We have all our stuff in our new home, but we are far from moved in. But seeing I'm a mere 30 minutes from you doesn't mean we can't get together.
